ABOUT ME
As a film graduate from LASALLE, College of the Arts who majored in screenwriting and cinematography, I believe that visuals can carry their own mode of storytelling. I seek to explore the intimacy and emotional intricacy felt in my subject matter, and have them unravel on screen in the best way possible.
And They Roamed, a film that I written in 2020 was screened at the 31st Singapore International Film Festival and nominated for Best Screenplay at the National Youth Film Awards. I placed as a finalist in Pitchfest 2021 with my feature story pitch, 'The Last Days of a Young Sago Dweller'.
When I'm not writing for the screen, I am continuously honing my craft within the literary community. In 2017, I won the Merit prize in the #IfILiveinDarkness Short Story Writing Competition. Thereafter in 2020, I wrote for the 'Sit With Me' column at the Singapore Writer's Festival.
I am also an author of three short stories that have been published in various anthologies locally.
My other various freelance work ranges from camera operating, script supervising and video editing, as seen through my video reel.
